To Sonatori, a tree of the "Wood that Plays"
3. Juli 2009
The 15th "Sounds of the Dolomites" begins in a particularly picturesque setting: the legendary "forest of violins", where the fir trees providing the raw material for valuable musical instruments have grown for centuries. It is not by coincidence therefore that the players of this concert are among the leading interpreters of the baroque and modern violin and one of best-known Italian string ensembles. Giuliano Carmignola began a musical career in 1971 that has taken him all over the world; the same can be said for almost twenty years of the Sonatori della Gioiosa Marca. One of the trees in the "Wood that Plays" will be named after them; a significant initiative of the Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme.
